Vines & Rushes Winery is celebrating the release of it’s newest wine - Mascoutin - a dry red wine that gives back to the community, on Saturday, June 28th from 9am - 6pm. Wine tastings are complimentary at Vines & Rushes.

The Mascoutin wine is a blend of three Wisconsin grown grapes - Marquette, Sabrevois and Frontenac.  The name Mascoutin originates from an Algonquian Indian tribe that spent time along the Fox River near Berlin, WI.  The former Milwaukee Road railway which ran along the edge of the winery property has now become the Mascoutin Valley State Trail - a multi-use recreational trail.  A $1 donation is made to trail maintenance for each bottle sold of our "Mascoutin" wine.

From 11am - 1pm, local authors Marjorie Lind and Roberta Erdmann will be reminiscing on the history of the trail, it's former life as a rail-line and the communities that are affected by it’s existence.  Come share in their stories and learn of the past!

From 2pm - 5pm, local musicians Sarah Voswinkel of Dead Horses and Adam Greuel of Horseshoes & Hand Grenades have joined forces as the duo band Rucksack Revolution.  They play together throughout the region and weave a unique blend of folk and bluegrass style music.

Grab a bottle or glass of wine ($1 off special on wine by the glass) along with Sprecher’s Root Beer on tap, specialty cheeses, chocolates and popcorn are all available for purchase.  This concert is free and open to all customers - join us for a fun and relaxing afternoon of great wine and great music outdoors (weather pending)!
