Our featured artist for May is Mary Schuster. Mary’s bio:

“I grew up on a farm in a small town near Madison, WI. I realized at an early age that I had a love for nature and art. I attended UW Oshkosh with a focus to use that passion in some way.

Life took different paths for me but I continued to have this need to create and the appreciation for beauty in nature. I rediscovered my passion with multiple commissioned charcoal pencil drawings and acrylic paintings. During this process I have been rewarded with the joy I bring others with my art. I specialize in landscapes, florals and portraits.

“My next painting is my best painting” is my approach. I strive to continue to grow and challenge myself to improve and learn more art techniques. Along with my K-12 degree in Art Education, I’ve taken various local art workshops through my art club, Oshkosh Fine Arts Association (OFAA).

I currently live in Oshkosh, WI with my husband.
