Our featured artist for the month of March & April is Ann Schultz dba Teacher Works.
Ann’s bio:
”As an art teacher for over 30 years, I look for ideas in all types of media, both two and
three-dimensional. Personally, I enjoy working with patterns and the interplay of colors,
influenced by artists like O’Keeffe and Escher. I like to challenge my skills with drawing
and painting techniques, in terms of blending and line. This is reflected in the flowers
and organic shapes, the tessellations and zentangle-type patterns of some
compositions.
I have launched a series of acrylic paintings that are based on sudoku
puzzles, substituting shapes for the numbers in the pattern, and I have enjoyed
developing them in a variety of color themes. I hope that others will also enjoy the
interplay of colors and shapes that I have created. Like my studio on Facebook page:
