Immanuel UMC, partnering with Samaritan's Purse, launched Operation Christmas Child (OCC) whose mission is "to provide God's love in a tangible way to children in need around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ."

This is done through the simple gift of a shoebox, delivered to children who, in most cases, have never received a gift. Prior to receiving their gift, they are given "The Greatest Gift" -- a book printed in their native language. They also hear the story of Jesus and His gift of salvation which is available to all. The shoebox gift is a tangible reminder to each child that God loves them.

Proceeds from their cause night will be used to purchase gifts. In each shoebox, we include school supplies, hygiene items, clothing, shoes or flip-flops, a toy or game, a WOW item such as a soccer ball, doll, or stuffed animal, as well as many other items.
