Our featured artist for the month of October is Pat Kaiser.

Pat's bio:

"My journey as an artist started after I retired from teaching elementary students. I had always enjoyed the arts, instrumental, vocal and drama, but had never tried the visual arts. I wanted to satisfy my curiosity about it. Fortunately I was able to take a few art lessons from a local artist. My first painting still hangs in one of my bedrooms.
I tend to like an impressionistic style rather than realistic. I paint intuitively. I hate having a drawn plan to follow. It’s very seldom that I’ve drawn something before I painted it. Many times I’ve started a painting with no idea of what I want. Painting intuitively allows me to be led by my spirit. It takes me away from the restrictions my analytic brain lays on me.
I have worked with watercolor, acrylics, pastels, pen and ink, portraits, collages and mixed media. It makes me feel good when others enjoy seeing what I’ve done."
