Our featured artist for the month of February is Joann Mariahazy, ART by Joann.
Joann has been creating art for decades. Most recently she has trained and focused in printmaking; relief, intaglio, lithography, and serigraphy. She has a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts in 2D studio art with a concentration on Printmaking and a Minor in Art History, from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh.

Joann found her passion in serigraphy, also known as silk screening which can be described as the physical manifestation of Photoshop layering – process = order, registration - detail, detail, detail.
Many of Joann’s pieces are numbered editions. She appreciates there is great integrity in numbered editions. Once an edition is created and numbered, there are no more prints made for that edition.

Her interests lie in nature, simplicity, color, shapes, and composition. There is a love of balance in her work. Enjoy it!
